During lockdown the four Emsworth Tai Chi and Qigong groups have joined as one, exercising daily at home, keeping in touch through exercise videos and a daily email where many in the group contribute to a lively discussion on Tai Chi and Qigong.

The daily email include a link to a video of one of the many Tai Chi and Qigong exercises we practice in class (there are well over a hundred).  I talk about the health and fitness benefits, discuss the finer points of each exercise and respond to the many questions and observations sent in by the group.

There are 55 of us in the lockdown group, all focussed on developing a personal, daily, outdoor Qigong health and fitness exercise routine.  When lockdown is relaxed the daily practice will be a regular part of the day and it will be a question of fitting other activities around it, rather than the other way around.

Current participants of Emsworth Tai Chi classes now have access to a developing library of Qigong videos.  Each day I add today’s exercise to this unique library which also includes an  A-Z  listing the health and fitness benefits of each exercise.

Viewing statistics indicate that this is a valued and well-used resource in helping participants develop their own daily practice.
